CURRICULUM VITAE
Konstantina, “Dina”, Beis was born in Athens. She studied law at the School of Law, University of Athens, and then obtained her post-graduate degree in International Relations from the University of Manchester, England.
She has been a member of the Athens Municipality International Relations Committee. She has also been in charge of International Relations for the Central Union of Municipalities and Communities of Greece as well as a member of the Conseil des Communes et Regions d’ Europe (C.C.R.E.).
In 1994, she first participated in the Prefectoral and Municipal Elections and was elected Prefectoral Adviser with the Athens Prefecture. During 1995-1997 she was Deputy Prefect of Athens in charge of Administration and Finances. From 1998 to 2000, she was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the National Youth Institute (E.I.N.) and President of the Center for Vocational Training of the same Institute. In 2002, she was once more elected Prefectoral Adviser and Deputy Prefect in charge of City Planning, City Works, and Environmental Policy. In September 2007, after Ms Fofi Gennimata has left office, she was elected Athens and Piraeus Super-Prefect by the Unified Athens and Piraeus Prefectoral Council.
She is married to former Mayor of Athens, Dimitris Beis and has a daughter, Roxanne.
